The Woodlands Arm Lift Surgeons
The Woodlands arm lift surgeons at The Freeman Center for Aesthetic Surgery are here to help you eliminate excess skin from the upper arms and achieve the appearance and self-confidence that you truly desire.
Procedure Description
Arm lift procedures are typically done with the patient under general anesthesia. An incision is required in the back of the arm to successfully remove unwanted skin. While the incision is placed as inconspicuously as possible, some visible scarring will occur.
Recuperation and Healing
Following an arm lift procedure, the upper arms are either wrapped or placed in an elastic sleeve that will help reduce swelling. Most of the initial healing will take place in approximately 10-14 days.
After 2-3 weeks, the sutures can be removed, and swelling should disappear after 3-4 weeks.
Most scarring will fade in 6-24 months, but this can vary depending on your skin.
Other Options
Depending on your personal goals and your body type, The Woodlands arm lift surgeons at The Freeman Center for Aesthetic Surgery may suggest an alternate or additional procedure, such as liposuction of the upper arms or axillae.
Note
It is important to remember that any surgical procedure brings with it certain risks and dangers. While minor complications have occasionally taken place in arm lift surgeries, major complications are very rare.
Who Is a Candidate?
If you have excess and sagging skin on your upper arms due to aging, genetics, or rapid weight loss, an arm lift procedure may be right for you.
